India–Cyprus Business & Investment Summit 2026: Transforming Tomorrow

India-Cyprus relations have reached unprecedented heights, marking a transformative period in bilateral cooperation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic visit to Cyprus in June 2025 – the first by an Indian Prime Minister in over two decades – set the stage for a comprehensive strategic partnership. During this landmark visit, PM Modi was conferred with the Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III, Cyprus’s highest civilian honor, and both nations adopted a Joint Declaration outlining the India-Cyprus Action Plan 2025-2029. This momentum was further strengthened by Cyprus Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos’s first official visit to New Delhi in October 2025, where he met with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to review progress and deepen cooperation across multiple sectors.

Building on this exceptional diplomatic momentum, the High Commission of India is organizing the India–Cyprus Business & Investment Summit 2026: Transforming Tomorrow on Tuesday, 3 March 2026 at 08:30, at Hilton Nicosia, Cyprus. The Summit will bring together key stakeholders from India and Cyprus to explore opportunities for cooperation across a range of business and investment sectors. The event will feature expert insights, case studies, and structured networking, offering participants the opportunity to exchange ideas, build connections, and discuss future collaboration between the two markets.

Key Outcomes from Recent High-Level Visits:

  • Commitment to expeditiously conclude the EU-India Free Trade Agreement with Cyprus assuming the EU Council Presidency in 2026
  • Working towards launch of UPI-enabled cross-border digital payments between India and Cyprus through collaboration between NPCI International and Eurobank Cyprus
  • Agreement to work towards a a Mobility Agreement to facilitate movement of professionals and talent
  • Enhanced cooperation in defence, security, maritime affairs, and peacekeeping
  • Strengthened collaboration on the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC), recognizing its transformative potential for regional peace and prosperity
  • Mutual support in multilateral forums, including India’s permanent membership bid for the UN Security Council
